| What type of radio are you getting for Christmas this year? A new radio? Antenna? Or something else. |

I plan on getting some type of base radio but I am just not sure what yet.

| hopefully gonna send the 430 off fer a check up an thinkin on trading off my 2950 fer a magnum 257. well I would like to anyways. just need to make up my darn mind lol |

I would not trade a 2950 for a 257 .....

| Well tis year no new radio equipment. But did get a new much needed computer. Which I'm sure that I'll enjoy. |

you give me the $$$ for a ft-2000 and I'll pick one up I like the 2950 but I want a smaller radio an the 257 is a decent radio. I would like to trade it off for a small hf rig, but that AINT gonna happen!! lol |

I have both a HTX-10 and a mag 257 you will love them.
As for small HF radios a IC-718 is hard to beat ..... |
